  • Study at UWS for One or More Trimesters

There are around 1400 international students studying at the University, from the United States to China, and most countries in between.

Every year, we welcome exchange students from partner institutions across Europe and from the United States. The strong links that have developed with partners and the significant numbers of their students who have successfully studied at this University ensure that prospective exchange students will have a rewarding and exciting experience in Scotland.

    • ECTS Points

All Scottish universities use the ScotCAT credit system. 1 ScotCAT credit is equal to 0.5 ECTS credits and can be taken back and credited towards your degree at your home university.

1 normal module = 10 ECTS credits (20 ScotCAT credits)

The amount of credits you will gain while studying at UWS depends on your length of study:

      • 1 trimester: 3 modules = 30 ECTS credits (60 ScotCAT credits)
      • 2 trimesters/1 academic year: 6 modules = 60 ECTS credits (120 ScotCAT credits)
