Opportunities for research careers also exist, with some of our graduates undertaking further PhD research studentships.
We welcome Scottish, UK and international students and consider all applicants on an individual basis.
Don’t worry if your qualifications are not listed here, we take a range of factors into account when assessing your application and are happy to consider other alternative combinations of qualifications and experience.

Due to man-made climate change, society is living in a “climate emergency” with many economies adopting Net Zero targets by 2050. In addition, the United Nations have Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) which aim to reduce inequalities and improve society, economy, and environment. To achieve this industry is seeking new ways of designing and engineering goods and services in line with circular economy principles. The global market in environmental goods and services is currently worth about £3 trillion.
Our MSc Sustainable Technology prepares you for a career in the growing sustainable engineering sector where there is increasing global demand for skilled graduates.
By undertaking this course, you will develop skills in engineering coupled with an understanding of sustainability principles, with wider understanding of the environment and how to minimise the environmental impact of economic activities and exploiting value from industrial process by-products.
The Postgraduate Diploma (PgDip) comprises a number of core and optional modules which are dependent on your chosen pathway. The MSc is completed by successfully undertaking the MSc Dissertation module (60 credits) which entails detailed research and critical analysis of a specific project.
