Our Subject Showcase - Paisley Campus gives you the perfect opportunity to get in-person experience of your subject and course of choice before the UCAS application deadline on 14 January 2026. You will get to experience what studying at UWS is really like, take part in some hands-on activities, chat to our academics and current students, and ask any questions you have.
We look forward to welcoming you to our Subject Showcase - Paisley Campus. Please note visitor parking is available all day with entry via Lady Lane entrance.

Using Python as a programming language, we will consider what is required for a communications network and build a network out of Micro:bits. Then we'll implement different kinds of network, and try to connect networks together, solving some of the problems we meet along the way.

You will learn how pressure of fluids are measured by using Bernoulli’s Principle. You’ll be shown engineering equipment and systems that use fluid pressure and velocity to run and produce engineering results. You will also learn about the physics of flow around you and have the chance to interact with scientific calculations.
