The graduation ceremonies will be held in St Marylebone Church in London.
Information about which programmes graduate at each ceremony can be found below.
We are pleased to announce that winter graduation ceremonies will take place as follows:
Registration for Dumfries graduation should open during week commencing 25th September 2023 and all eligible graduands will receive an invitation via email to register online. Invitations to register will be sent to UWS and personal email addresses.
Information about which programmes graduate at each ceremony as well as FAQs will be published here in due course.

If you are experiencing difficulties which require emotional support, you can call the UWS student support line 24/7. Your call will go straight through to a trained counsellor. Call free on 0800 028 3766. If you or someone else requires immediate support for a mental health emergency, please call NHS-24 on 111. If you feel your mental health concern is not urgent but that you would benefit from speaking to someone we recommend that you contact your GP. This could be your home GP if you’ve not registered for one near your University campus yet.
Our team of Academic Skills Advisers provide advice, guidance, and resources to help develop your academic skills for success at university and beyond.
All students are automatically registered with the UWS Careers & Academic Skills Website where you will find a wide variety of academic skills resources.
Studiosity allows you to upload a draft of your written assessment for review by a Studiosity specialist who will then offer feedback explaining how your writing can be improved.
This support is available to students 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.
There are two ways in which you can engage with the Studiosity service:
Writing Feedback
With Studiosity’s Writing Feedback service, you can submit a draft of your written work (up to 5500 words) and you will receive feedback, usually within 24 hours, on spelling and grammar, structure, choice of language, and use of sources.
Connect Live
Connect Live allows you to speak to a Studiosity specialist, online, anytime, for help with topics such as academic writing and numeracy. You can also use the service to ask follow-up questions on writing feedback.

UWS incorporates four distinctive campuses situated in the west and south-west of Scotland: Ayr, Dumfries, Lanarkshire and Paisley, and one in central London. Each campus location has its own individual character, architecture and social scene. Whether you choose an urban or rural environment, our campuses offer modern accommodation, varied extra-curricular activities and excellent teaching and study facilities.
The social side of university life is hugely important and our Students’ Union won the University Students’ Association of the Year in the NUS (National Union of Students) Scotland Awards in both 2022 and 2023. Life as a UWS student offers the opportunity to follow your passions, develop new interests and meet fascinating people!
Our Students’ Union is run for students by students. The Union organise and deliver a wide range of social and sporting events all year round and campaign with you and on your behalf on the issues that really matter to you.
Each campus offers study spaces in the library, which include quiet areas for individual study and group study areas.
UWS catering outlets deliver the kind of relaxing environments on campus that are normally found on the high street. Our facilities across the campuses have become a hub where our customers can socialise and relax. Delivering exceptional value for money, our outlets offer hot and cold items, and a range of confectionery products.
Staying in University accommodation during your studies is a great way to meet new people, make new friends and gain some independence with the reassurance that our Residence Life team are always onsite for help and support.
Each UWS campus has a choice of accommodation on offer. A variety of self-catered accommodation is available at our campuses in Ayr and Paisley in the form of shared flats or studios. All offer a safe and friendly environment close to main campus buildings and near to local amenities within the west of Scotland. Students attending the UWS London Campus generally find their own accommodation, either in the form of a private let or privately managed residence.
