At the University of the West of Scotland, we pride ourselves in our international outlook. Our dynamic and cosmopolitan community is made up of over 17,000 students from more than 70 countries across the world, adding a global perspective to UWS life.
We have forged links with educational institutions all over Europe and beyond - including our partnership network in China. We work in collaboration with these institutions to provide international exchange opportunities for students, ranging from the year-long Erasmus+ programme with our partner institutions in Europe to joint Masters courses with institutions around the world.

Filmbase is a not-for-profit resource organisation for new and emerging filmmakers in Ireland. Based in the landmark Curved Street building in the heart of Dublin’s Temple Bar, Filmbase has been supporting Irish filmmakers for 25 years.
Ecoris is a private technical school in Chambéry, France and students are taught across 4 different teaching sites (Chambéry, Annecy, Lyon and Annemasse). The collaborative partnership with UWS is delivered at the Chambéry teaching facilities.
Icademie is a training centre located in Aix-en-Provence in the south of France and students are taught across 4 different teaching sites (Angers, Paris, Lille and Aix-en-Provence). The collaborative partnership with UWS will be delivered at the Aix-en-Provence teaching facilities.
IFC is a private technical school in Avignon, France and is part of the IFC Group. The IFC Group has a number of training centre across France (Ales, Avignon, Marseille, Montpellier, Nimes, Perpignan, St Etienne and Valence). The collaborative partnership with UWS is delivered at the Avignon centre.
The Institute for Cultural Diplomacy is an international, not-for-profit, non-governmental organisation with headquarters in Berlin and the USA. The collaborative partnership with UWS requires students to undertake their first trimester of study at UWS (Paisley Campus) and their second trimester at ICD (Berlin).
The International Business School (IBS) was the first private higher education college in central Europe and has recently been granted the status of international higher education institution by the Ministry of Education.
IBS has campuses in Budapest and Vienna and the collaborative partnership with UWS concerns the delivery of programmes at the Budapest campus.
The Roma Contemporary Music College (RCMC) is a private music school founded by the joint venture between Roma Rock School (the first Rock music school in Italy) and MAN - Music Academies Network.
Based in Rome, RCMC offers a wide range of music courses with the aim of training musicians for each instrument, from first principles to professional academic study.
Talis Education Group has 5 training centres located across France (Paris, Bordeux, Perigueux, Bergerac and Bayonne). The collaborative partnership with UWS will be delivered at the Bordeaux centre.
The Management Centre of the Mediterranean is a non-profit organisation which was founded by the Cyprus Turkish Association of Managers. The partnership with UWS introduces the first UK Masters degrees in Nicosea, Northern Cyprus.
The University of Angers have three campuses in Angers (Belle-Beille, St Serge, and Santé), and branches in the nearby towns of Cholet and Saumur. To achieve the collaborative dual award, students are required to undertake their first trimester of study at UWS (Paisley Campus) and their second trimester at the University of Angers.
Epitome College is a private college located in the Subang Jaya district of Malaysia. The college is a registered tertiary higher education provider with the Ministry of Higher Education and has been operating in Malaysia for more than two decades.
Ghana Technology University College (GTUC), formerly Ghana Telecom University College is a University that was founded in 2005 by Ghana Telecom, the national telecommunications company. GTUC is one of Ghana’s leading accredited institutions of higher learning and the UWS collaborative programmes are delivered at the Accra campus.
Hong Kong College of Engineering (HKCE) is a professional college which was established in 1992 by a group of professional Engineers. The college focuses on providing training programmes for educational, professional and practical knowledge, and skills for industry.
Imperial College of Business Studies (ICBS) is an educational institution in Sri Lanka. The college has two campuses, one in Colombo and the other in Kandy. ICBS provides academic and professional support and is a CIMA Premium Learner Partner and an ACCA approved Learning Partner.
Indian School of Business & Computing (ISBC) is a college situated in Bangalore, India. Through the partnership with UWS, ISBC aims to create affordable and accessible education opportunities for students at the Bangalore campus.
The International Skills Development Corporation is a limited company that operates across the globe. ISDC is the largest ACCA-approved Learning Provider in India and the sole Platinum Learning Partner for CIMA.
ISDC courses are available in Bangalore, Calicut, Kochi & Pune (India).
In addition to ISDC provision in India, we are also partnering with ISDC in UAE: ISDC Global Business School (IGBS), Success Point, Ground Floor, India Trade & Exhibition Centre, Near Expo Centre, Sharjah
Knowledge Universe provides private higher education to students in Malaysia and is a member institution of the Raffles Education Group. The partnership with UWS concerns the local delivery of the MBA programme at Knowledge Universe campuses in Kuala Lumpur, Petaling Jaya, Penang, Ipoh, Kuantan and Johor Bahru.
Nanyang Institute of Management (NIM) provides market relevant education and training programmes. All NIM programmes are registered and approve by the Committee for Private Education (CPE). The partnership with UWS concerns the local delivery of UWS programmes at the NIM premises in Singapore.
Olympia College is a member of the Raffles Education Group and the main campus is situated in Kuala Lumpur with additional campuses located in Petaling Jaya, Ipoh, Penang, Kuantan and Johor Bahru. The partnership with UWS concerns the local delivery of the MBA programme at Olympia College campuses in Kuala Lumpur, Petaling Jaya, Penang and Johor Bahru.
Rushmore Business School is an international private tertiary education institution providing academic and professional courses to school leavers, graduates and the business community. The Business School is fully accredited and all of its courses have been approved by the Tertiary Education Commission and the Mauritius Qualifications Authority.
The Siberian State Transport University (STU) is one of the leading technical schools for the transport industry in Russia. STU is one of the largest scientific and educational centres in Novosibirsk, Siberia and has been officially accredited by the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation.
The University of Seychelles (UniSey) is the primary institution of higher education in the Seychelles. UniSey has three campuses (Anse Royale, Mount Fleuri and Ma Joie) offering programmes in education, communication and technology.
YMCA has been offering educational courses since 1913. All programmes delivered at YMCA are registered under the Enhanced Registration Framework with the Committee for Private Education (CPE). YMCA has also successfully achieved the EduTrust Certification for their provision of quality educational services.
