To cater for the needs of international students whose native language may not be English, we offer pre-sessional and in-sessional courses which will enable you to meet the English language entry requirements to enrol on a programme at UWS, or to prepare you for study elsewhere in the UK.
Pre-sessional English is a 5-week or 10-week intensive course for students who need to improve their English language skills before beginning an undergraduate degree at UWS.

English Language for University Study is a 41-week intensive course for students who need to improve their English language skills over an extended period of time before beginning undergraduate study.
Read moreIn T1 of 2019-20, the University will offer in-sessional English language support for students, for whom English is not a first language, studying on a degree programme.
This will be offered in two ways:
All modules are credit-bearing, require weekly attendance, homework outwith class, are assessed and results recorded on UWS transcript.
