Education beyond conflict: a partnership for resilience, recovery and hope
UWS and the Ukrainian State University of Railway Transport (UkrSURT) have built a pioneering partnership that demonstrates how education can continue and thrive even during conflict.
Established in 2023 through Universities UK's #TwinForHope initiative, the collaboration supports students and staff in Ukraine to sustain teaching, learning and research while preparing the next generation of professionals who will help rebuild their country.
At the heart of the partnership is a dual degree programme in Sustainable Logistics and Supply Chain Management, jointly delivered by UWS and UkrSURT. The programme equips students with the skills, knowledge and international perspective needed to support Ukraine's future recovery and the development of resilient, sustainable supply chains.
Despite the challenges of war, students have continued to succeed through an innovative model of flexible learning, joint teaching and cross-border collaboration.
