Frances Wright Scholarship

The Frances Wright Scholarship Is for applicants from the United States of America.

ThIs scholarship is competitive in nature and, if awarded, cannot be used in combination with any other UWS scholarship.

The Frances Wright Scholarship provides a full fees scholarship to deserving applicants who identify as women applying to study on a taught UWS postgraduate degree from one of our academic schools:

Eligibility: Citizens of USA who identify as women

Value: Full tuition fees for a full-time taught postgraduate course of your choice (see below)

Applications now open for: Academic year 2026/27

Deadline: Applications need to be submitted by:

  • 15 June 2026 for programmes commencing September 2026
  • 02 November 2026 for programmes commencing January 2027
  • 01 March 2027 for programmes commencing May 2027

Availability: From September 2026 entry to full-time postgraduate taught study options at one of our Scottish campuses.
