WEST Scholarship Programme
At UWS, we believe financial restrictions should never be a barrier to accessing university and graduating with a degree. The WEST (Widening Education and Supporting Talent) Scholarship Programme aims to remove the financial barriers that stop our talented students from progressing throughout their degree to graduation.
There are three types of WEST Scholarships available:
- WEST Scholarships: £1,250 per year for First and Second Year undergraduate students, for up to four years.
- WEST Merit Scholarships: £1,250 per year for Third and Fourth Year undergraduate students, for up to two years.
- WEST Postgraduate Scholarships: minimum award of £1,250 for postgraduate students, for one year.
Scholarship Eligibility Criteria
Conditions: Candidates must have accepted an offer of admission to an undergraduate or postgraduate degree course at UWS.
Nationality: Any (candidates must be Scottish, or have been living in Scotland as a full-time resident for at least the past three years).
