Leadership, strategy and values were key themes explored by the Chief Executive of food-to-go retailer Greggs in the annual Brough Lecture at University of the West of Scotland (UWS).
The flagship annual event took place on Friday 13 March at UWS’s Paisley campus, where Roisin Currie delivered her lecture entitled Greggs through the ages.
The University's Brough Lecture commemorates Peter Brough, the Paisley businessman and philanthropist, whose bequest to the town provided funds to establish the original Paisley Technical School in 1897, which eventually became UWS.
Roisin delivered an inspiring and captivating Brough Lecture in Paisley, sharing fascinating lessons drawn from her own leadership journey, while reflecting on the history of Greggs’ trajectory in the northeast of England to its prominence across the whole of the UK. For our University community – students, colleagues, alumni, and our friends and partners who joined us on the day – it offered a valuable and revealing insight into the qualities that make Roisin such a successful and respected leader in her field.
