We’re excited to welcome you to our Paisley campus offer-holder session to find out even more about UWS and your programme(s), and help you decide on your next steps.
At the event you’ll hear from your academic School and programme teams, have the chance to ask any questions you have, take part in programme sessions designed to show you what studying at UWS is really like, and take a tour of our amazing campus.
Our staff and students will be on hand throughout the event to provide you with information and advice on all aspects of life at UWS. Whether that’s about clubs and societies, funding and support or advice on your offer, we’re here to help.
Travel contribution
Offer-holders will have the option of claiming up to £50 towards the cost of their own individual travel to our offer-holder days.
You’ll be able to claim a travel contribution after attending your offer-holder event and will receive a link to our application form.
The amount that you will receive will depend on the distance from your home address and the campus where you have an offer of study.
- £15 travel contribution if 0-50 miles from campus
- £20 travel contribution if 51-100 miles from campus
- £30 travel contribution if 101-150 miles from campus
- £50 travel contribution if 151+ miles from campus

- 3.30pm – 5pm: Tour of the Animation Labs, which will include a presentation by the Programme Leader, who will provide an overview of the course. This will be followed by an exhibition of student work and the opportunity to speak to current students.
BSc (Hons) Computer Games Development

- 3.30pm – 5pm: Hear from the Programme Leader regarding the structure and content of Computer Games Development at UWS. Within this event, there will be dedicated time for a Q&A with staff and current students and a presentation and demonstration of immersive technologies (VR). Immediately afterwards, there will be a tour of the retro games room.

- 3.30pm – 5pm: Brief presentation about the programme by the Programme Leader, followed by a hands-on "Build the Internet" lab workshop where we'll discover and solve some of the problems we come up against when designing networks.

- 3.30pm – 5pm: Meet the Programme Leader regarding the structure and content of Computing Science at UWS. Within this event there will be dedicated time for a Q&A session.
BSc (Hons) Music Technology

- 3.30pm – 5pm: Information session and demonstration from the Programme Leader, which will include a tour of the state-of-the-art facilities that you will be using as a Music Technology student. You can ask any questions that you have about the programme and to speak to current students.
BSc (Hons) Web and Mobile Development

- 3.30pm – 5pm: Meet the Programme Leader, where there will be an opportunity for an open Q&A session. Additionally, enjoy a brief presentation and demonstration by our invited Honours year students, who will be showcasing their final BSc projects, highlighting the web and mobile technologies they've employed. Should time permit, we'll also offer a hands-on workshop where you can develop and install your very own cross-platform mobile application on your mobile phone.

This tour will include several practical demonstrations using the laboratory equipment available.

- 3.30pm – 5pm: Hear from the Programme Leader regarding the structure and content of Civil Engineering at UWS. Within this event, there will be dedicated time for a Q&A with staff. Immediately afterwards, there will be a guided tour of the facilities, and a demonstration of how the practical content is delivered and linked on the programme.
