UWS Student App Privacy Notice
The UWS Student App is provided by the CampusM system and is used by the University to allow students to access UWS student systems from one place. To enable an account to be set up for your student account details are used. The University of the West of Scotland (the "University" or "we") is the data controller for the information you provide via the CampusM system.
Your data is used to:
- authenticate to the App
- access and display information within the system, for example, your timetable information and your library account details
Information is not stored in the app, it is presented directly from the data source such as our library system or email.
The system provides analytical data on how students interact with it and this data is available to us but we will only use this in anonymised form.
The app allows for push notifications to be sent to your device. If you do not wish to receive notifications from CampusM, these can be turned off at the point of download or later via the settings on your device.
The system is provided to us by a 3rd party company called Ex Libris who act as a data processor on our behalf. Upon downloading the app you will be required to read and agree to the Ex Libris End User Licence Agreement. You should make sure that you are comfortable with the terms of the agreement before proceeding. You can read a copy of the End User Licence Agreement and the Ex Libris Privacy notice below.
