Frederick and Anna Murray Douglass Scholarship

The Frederick and Anna Murray Douglass Scholarship is for applicants from the United States of America studying at one of our Scottish Campuses.

This scholarship is competitive in nature and, if awarded, cannot be used in combination with any other UWS scholarship.

The Frederick and Anna Murray Douglass scholarship provides full tuition fees to applicants who belong to an underrepresented racial or ethnic minority group. This scholarship will cover the full tuition fees for those planning to commence their studies on a taught UWS postgraduate degree from one of our academic schools:

Eligibility: Citizens of USA who belong to an underrepresented racial or ethnic minority group

Value: Full tuition fees for a taught postgraduate course of your choice

Applications now open for: September 2025

Deadline: Applications need to be submitted by:

  • 15 June 2026 for programmes commencing September 2026
  • 02 November 2026 for programmes commencing January 2027
  • 01 March 2027 for programmes commencing May 2027

Availability: From September 2026 entry to full-time postgraduate taught study options at one of our Scottish campuses
