Please also remember to regularly check your student mail for communications; if you wish you can arrange to forward your student emails to another email address.
Once you have accepted your offer, you will be required to enrol for the session. You can complete your enrolment here.
It is important that all doctoral students are aware of the resources below, all of which are helpful in supporting your progress through your research journey. Please familiarise yourself with each one once your enrolment is complete:

- SkillsForge: Our PGR Student Record System allows you to view and manage the administrative side of your Doctoral Student journey. Log in with your student Banner ID and network password. It is expected that you will log in regularly to ensure that milestones and their associated reports are not overdue.
- PGR on Teams - Please sign up to stay up to date and access our great resources. This is where you will find all the details on upcoming training events and seminars, internships, funding opportunities and general PGR information.
Induction
You will be contacted directly with information regarding Induction shortly before the start date detailed on your Offer Letter.
COURSE DURATION
All students are expected to submit their final thesis within the normal period of registration detailed below for their programme, an additional 12 months is available for examination and corrections.
You are expected to commit on average a minimum of 35 hours per week on your studies (21 hours for part-time study) and will be required to meet your supervisory team at least once a month (once every 2 months for part time study) in order to comply with the University's Student Attendance and Engagement Policy.

stipend payments
Stipend payments will be made on the 28th of the month in arrears for the normal during of your programme. All payments will be paid in line with advertised UKRI stipend payment.
COMPLETION FEES
Student who are granted an exceptional extension beyond the maximum period of registration outlined above, will incur a completion fee in line with the fee schedule for the session in which the extension takes effect.
SKILLSFORGE
All research student progression is recorded in our progression recording platform, Skillsforge. This platform allows you to view your future milestones, expected end date and submit your 6 month/Annual Report/Transfer Event (if applicable). You will also submit applications for interruption or extension via this platform if required.
All full-time students are asked to submit a monthly supervision report on Skillsforge, with part-time students submitting this a minimum of once every 2 months. Please log into Skillsforge to familiarise yourself with the platform. To submit a Supervisory Meeting Report, please select ‘Supervision’, then ‘Create a new Supervisory Meeting Report’. Please ensure you scroll right to the bottom of the form once you have added details of your recent supervision meeting, then tick your name, and press the green ‘sign’ button, then submit the report. This will automatically pass to your Lead Supervisor for comments/actions for next meeting and these will be emailed to you for information.
