Environmental SciencE And sustainability
First-class Facilities
The newly-developed facilities at our Lanarkshire Campus include technology-enhanced bioscience teaching labs, specialised zoology laboratory facilities and a microbiology suite.
Our cutting-edge teaching facilities also include genomic, biochemical, cell biology and advanced image analysis systems.
WORLD-IMPROVING RESEARCH
You will benefit from UWS’s strong history of applied research in environmental sciences that spans multiple disciples and has global impact. Research staff are at the forefront of their profession.
Our academics are making a difference in areas including aquaculture, COPD, coronavirus transmission and Acanthamoeba Keratitis - a devastating eye condition which affects millions of people each year.
